This is one of the popular live casino table games. There are two major types of bets in this game – the Dragon and the Tiger. The bet with the higher value wins the round. There are also other minor bets, including bets on a Tie.
Types of bets in Dragon Tiger
Main Bets
The Tiger: The bets placed on the Tiger side of the table win if the Tiger has a higher value.
The Dragon: The player who bets on the Dragon win if it has a higher value in a round.
Tie: Players can also bet on a Tie, in which they will win only if a round ends in a tie.
Side Bets
There are also some minor bets which you can place on a Dragon Tiger table.
Odd/Even: The player can also bet on either odd or even but not on both. In this, the player makes a guess whether a specific card will be odd or even.
Suits: In this type, the player can bet on any of the four suits – club, spade, heart, and diamond. A player can at a time bet on maximum three suits and not on all four. If the suit guessed by a player appears, he wins three times his bet amount.
However, if a card of 7 is drawn on a side bet, the player will lose all the side bets.
How to Play Dragon Tiger online?
The online variant of Dragon Tiger is more or less same as the traditional version. The player first has to choose the chips on which he wants to bet. When playing online, click the chip value/size for your bet. Then, move the cursor to the betting option, and click on whichever option you want to choose (from Tiger, Dragon or Tie). Your chips will appear in your selected betting option.The total bet and total win of a particular round will show on the left side of the table.
You can increase your bet by clicking the same chip again, or you can select multiple chips to bet different amounts. You can place any bet of any amount given that the total bet doesn’t exceed the table maximum.
The online game even allows you to remove a chip by using the Undo button. You can even cancel all the bets on a game.
Once all the bets are placed, the player can start the game by clicking on the Deal button. The cards are shuffled automatically. First, a Yellow card is played which indicates the last round of a game. The second card dealt by the game shows the number of cards to be burnt. If this is a 4, four cards will be burned. The game will deal a card for the Tiger and one for the Dragon. The hand with the higher card will win the round. If both the cards are of the same value, players win half of their bet amounts.
After the first round, a player can choose to play a new game or continue his existing game by rebetting on his chips from the previous round.
Road History
There are two tables at the bottom of every Dragon Tiger table, namely Bead Road History and Big Road History.
Bead road history will show the history of a Dragon Tiger game, including all the previous rounds. The new result is added just below the previous result.
Big road history table also shows the history of the previous results in a game. However, the way results are added to the table is slightly different from this.
Bet Options and Payouts in Dragon Tiger
A Dragon Tiger betting game gives you multiple bet options, as we discussed above. If you are wondering about the payouts in different types of bets, here you go.
Bet on Dragon hand – 1:1 payout – the player will win 50% of the bet if the result is Tie.
Bet on Tiger hand – 1:1 payout – the player will win 50% of the bet if the result is Tie.
Bet on Tie – 8:1 – if the value of both hands (Dragon and Tiger) are equal i.e., same hand rank value
ODD bet – 1:1 – When you place a bet on Dragon hand (left) or Tiger hand (right) with an Odd number value, you lose the bet if the result is 7.
EVEN bet – 1:1 – When you place a bet on Dragon hand (left) or Tiger hand (right) with an even number value, you lose the bet if the result is 7.
Spade suit – 3:1 – You bet either on Dragon or Tiger for a Spade suit.
Heart suit – 3:1 – You bet either on Dragon or Tiger for a Heart suit.
Club suit – 3:1 – You bet either on Dragon or Tiger for a Club suit.
Diamond suit – 3:1 – You bet either on Dragon or Tiger for a Diamond suit.
